My September Goals
9/13/2018
Since I was a
little girl I always looked at September as a fresh start. The beginning of a
new school year made me nervous and excited at the same time, as I was one of
those kids that enjoyed learning new things.
Now that I'm
at university, my feelings are pretty much the same; I am really excited to
start my second year and learn more but at the same time I'm extremely nervous
and anxious as I tend to put too much pressure on myself when it comes to
studies. For that reason, I decided to set myself some September goals to try
and make this "back to school" more calmed and easier.
1.Take It Easy
As Mika sings
on his song, taking things easy is extremely important for your wellbeing and
mental health. I tend to get overwhelmed by stupid and small things and I am
determined to change this and enjoy a bit more my time at university rather
than suffering and being extremely stressed.
This also
applied to life in general; I tend to take things way too seriously and that is
not good (in any way). I feel like I worry about the things too much and, even
though many times it is due to my anxiety and I find it extremely difficult to
control, I want to try and change that in order to feel bit more peace on my
mind.
2.Organization
is key
With such a
rare and busy timetable as I have this year at university, organization is
going to be key in order to be able to do everything on time without feeling
overwhelmed. Even the smallest make a huge difference when it comes to
organization and, even though I am already a quite organized person, I am going
to try and use my time slightly better.
The better you
organize your work and studies and the better you use your time, the more free
time you will have to spend time with family and friends and do activities you
love. Spending quality time with your family and friends can be one of the most
rewarding things to do when you have a bit of free time!
3.Healthy
Lifestyle
Over the
summer I have been exercising pretty much daily and it has made a huge different
in how I feel. I personally think a healthy lifestyle, that mixes exercising
with a healthy diet, can make a huge different in the way your mind and body
feels (and also looks) and I really want to keep working out daily and eating
healthy when university starts.
I live at home
while I am at university so that really helps as my mom makes dinner most of
the nights and I don't fall into ordering take away or eating frozen food.
However, I'd still recommend that you try and keep a healthy lifestyle, whether
you live alone or with your family, as it will make you feel extremely better.
(Let me know
If you'd like to see a what I eat on day or my favourite healthy recipes and
snacks.)
These are my
three goals for the month of September. What are yours? Let me know in the
comments…
