Affordable Liquid Lipsticks | My Favourites

Liquid
lipsticks have been all over the place recently and, as I still love regular
lipstick, they have won a place on my heart. I only found one downfall to liquid
lipsticks, they can be a bit expensive and they can be a bit hard to find in
Spain. The second problem is easily solved by online shopping; the other one
requires a bit more time and investigation.
Over the
past few months I have found many affordable liquid lipsticks that are great
quality and that I love and today I'll be sharing them with you. I don't own
all the ones I like because if it would be madness. However, I'll also let you
know which ones I love (even if I don't own them). If I have to choose a
favourite brand (that makes affordable liquid lipstick) it would be NYX; they
have a huge range of liquid lipsticks, a huge range of shades and a really good
price point.
I also
wanted to give a quick tip if you have dry lips like mine but you still want to
wear liquid lipsticks. Exfoliating your lips makes a big difference and that's
why I do it 3 times a week. Also, applying a lip balm while you do the rest of
your makeup and removing the excess when you are about to apply your lip colour
makes application and wear much easier and comfortable.
When I look
for a liquid lipstick I look for 3 things; I want them to be comfortable,
long-lasting and pigmented. All of the liquid lipsticks I'm going to talk about
have these three things.
Let's start
talking about the Nyx Liquid Suede Liquid Lipsticks. These are a bit more liquid
than other liquid lipsticks I own but still apply really nicely to the lips, without
any patches or pigmentation problems. They are really long lasting and don't feel
too drying on the lips, even though they dry completely matte. This range has
more bold colours than the other but they are all really nice. I have mine in
the shade 03 Cherry Skies.
Keeping with
the Nyx theme let's now talk about the Nyx Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. This
range has a huge variety of nude shades, all really beautiful. These ones apply
really nicely to the lips and dry completely matte. I love the formula on these
but I can't say the same of the applicator, it is too flat for my liking but I
can make it work. I have mine in the shade 03 Lace Detail, my perfect nude
shade.
Next we have
the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks. They have a mousy texture
and are really comfortable on the lips, as they dry to a velvet feeling texture.
They have a big range of shades and also different finishes, as they have some
that don't dry matte and ones that are a bit more metallic. The only downfall
I've found with these is that the shade I won (I don't know about the others)
looks brighter on the lips than it does on the tube. I have mine in shade 10
Don't Pink of It!
And last,
but not least, let's talk about the Sephora Cream Lip Stains. They now have a
big variety of shades which makes me really happy. I love the formula on these
as they are really long-lasting but don't feel to drying on the lips at all.
They have a matte finish and are really pigmented. I truly recommend these
liquid lipsticks. I have mine in the shades 23 Copper Blush and 05 Infinite
Rose.
