Studying & Blogging | Organization Tips

Because organization is key.

Because organization is key.

Last week I took a break from the blog. I was dealing with lots of personal stuff, I had lots of exams and I was feeling really un-inspired. This normally doesn’t happen to me; I'm quite organized and that makes me studying and blogging at the same time a bit more easy. I'll be sharing with you my personal tips that will work whether you study or work and whether you have a blog or a YouTube channel.

Planners are key

My number one tip is to plan everything. Whether it's on a regular planner (like I do) or in your phone, writing everything down and planning in advance makes the biggest difference. It keeps me much more organized and less stresses. I also recommend colour coding; I like to mark really important events or things with a pink marker so I know I won't forget. I write everything in my planner so I'd be completely devastated if I lost mine.

Work in advance

This tip works both for blogging and for studying. If you know you have an exam in a few weeks and you have some spare time, prepare your notes so you'll be all prepared for studying when the date comes. If you have all your picture equipment set up or you've found a really good light and you now you'll need pictures for a post next week, take them in advance to make it much easier. I normally like to take my product pictures on the weekend as it is when I have more time.

Keep a schedule

Don't try to force yourself to a really strict schedule or you'll feel more stressed. Instead, try to maintain a little schedule for when to post and when to study. This, again, will hep you keep more organized make you more efficient. I like to write on my planner the days I want to post at the beginning of each week to give myself a line to follow. You can also write a few posts on the same day if you have the time and then publish them as you go.

Seize the time

This sounds like a topic, but it's completely true. If you pay attention in class and take notes, studying at home will be a bit easier and you won't need as much time. Try not to procrastinate and use your time well, whether you're at home or at school. Keeping your phone away also works really well; I know that, for me, my phone is one of my biggest distractions.

Take some time off

This might sound completely opposite to the topic we are talking about today; however, taking some time off (even if it's just a day) every so often makes a really big difference in the way you focus your study or your work. It will also come helpful for blogging, as it will allow you to get some inspiration for your posts. What I like to do is going running at least once a week; it really refreshes my mind and makes me feel great afterwards.

Right now I can't think of any more tips that involve both studying and blogging because I've had a pretty bad day. As I'm feeling a bit down today I wanted to say thanks to each and everyone of the people whore take time of their life to read my blog. It means so much to me that someone can appreciate the same things I do or that someone likes to read my review on different products.

Thanks so much for supporting Frontbow!!
