5 Denim Jackets to Wear this Spring
3/09/2017
Denim
jackets are a true staple for spring and summer; they are a great cover-up and
go great with many different outfits. They are a piece of clothing I truly love
and I decided to write a post showing you my 5 favourite denim jackets that are
perfect for next season.
To make this
post I decided to go into Asos which is, as you know, one of my favourite shops
and look for my favourite denim jackets. I have to say I'm pretty impressed
with the selection they have; I'm sure you'll find one you like…
THE CLASSIC
A classic
blue denim jacket is an essential in almost every wardrobe. Even since I was I
child, I've always had a denim jacket on my closet. I really like this one as
it has a really simple and traditional cut, goes down to your hips (it isn't too
short which I like) and has the most true denim colour out of the five I'm
showing you in this post.
This jacket
is also really easy to combine. It is the perfect cover-up for summer nights
and will look good with almost every outfit during the spring months.
It is from
Only (available at ASOS) and retails for about 30€.
COLOUR BLOCK
If you love denim
jackets that are a bit more oversized and have some sort of detail to it, this
one is for you. This jacket has a much loose fit than the other one and it's
also a bit longer. This one also has nice blue colour to it, but also includes
a panel of pink satin at the bottom which makes the jacket a bit more special.
To me, this pink detail makes all the difference.
I love this
jacket as it can spice up your simpler look and make them look a bit more
colourful and edgy.
It is from
ASOS own brand and retails for about 50€ (it is currently on sale).
EMBROIDERY
LOVER
Embroidered
denim is a huge trend this spring; you'll see it jeans, dresses and even
jumpers. So, obviously, I had to include an embroidered jacket on this post.
This one has a pretty simple cut (it isn't too fitted or too oversized) and a
light wash colour to it. It incorporates some really nice details which make it
a bit more especial. It has embroidery all over it and a nice shearling collar.
As the
previous one, it goes perfectly with outfits that are a bit more basic.
It is from
Liquor & Poker and retails for about 60€.
A DIFFERENT
TOUCH
If you are a
fan of denim jackets but you are a bit tired of the blue colour, you should
maybe try ones that have a different colour. The thing with these is that they
keep the cut of a regular denim jacket but not the colour. The one I've chosen
has a really wearable cream colour, but you can find them in pink, black and
more. I love this one so much and I may be adding it to my wardrobe soon.
As it is a
bit simpler, it will go perfectly with printed clothes or really bold accessories.
It is from
Weekday and retails for about 45€.
RUFFLES ALL
OVER
Another huge
trend for this spring and summer are ruffles. When I found this jacket I though
it was perfect for next spring as it incorporates what's classic and what's
trendy really nicely. It is still a very wearable jacket and has a nice fit to
it. It has a lighter colour than some of the others and goes just above your
hips, which I personally find really flattering.
I totally
see this jacket with a pair of black tailored trousers, a basic white t-shirt
and some loafers.
It is from
Vero Moda and retails for about 50€.
