Nude Nail Polishes | Essie
3/05/2017
I always
need to have my nails painted. I think it makes you look more put together and
it's just like another another accessory to your look. It also keeps me from
biting my nails, I used to bit my nails a lot when I was younger and having
them painted helped me a lot when I quit biting them. Due to that I have
developed a big obsession with nail polishes, especially for ones that are a
more muted colour.
Essie is
also one of my all time favourite nail polish brands. I love the formula a lot;
they are really pigmented and last a long time on the nails. I also love the
brush; it makes the application really easy and provides a full coverage colour
with just two coats.
In
today's post I'll be talking you through some of my favourite nude nail
polishes from Essie; as well as one of my all time favourite base coats.
"Sand
Tropez” is a beige tone nail polish. It is one of the more neutral colours I
own and looks amazing on the nails; it also goes very well with my fair skin.
On me it looks a bit more gray than it does on other people, but I'm totally
okay with that. I'd totally recommend this colour is you're looking for a nice
neutral nude colour for everyday wear.
This is
one of my most recent purchases. "Spin the Bottle“ is a nice nude pink
colour; even though it's pink it has quite a neutral undertone which will look
great in every skin tone. I really appreciate this as some light pink nail
colours can look a bit odd on my skin. This is one of my favourite colours to
wear on the nails; to me it looks really elegant and feminine at the same time.
"Lady Like" is one of the most popular shades from Essie and I totally get why. It is such
a nice colour; it's the perfect mixture of mauve and pink. It has a colder
undertone but it still looks really nice on the nails. I feel like this a
really mature colour that's perfect for everyday or for a night time look. I
love this colour a lot and I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it on my
nails.
This is
the least nude shade on this post. However, I do still find "Eternal Optimist" to be really
wearable and nice on the nails. This is a really grown up shade of pink; it has
the perfect undertones and darkness to make it a really nice shade of pink. It
looks nice in many skin tones and makes your hands look amazing (I don't really
know why but it does); it really is the perfect nude for spring and summer.
Another
Essie product I love is the Grow Stronger Base Coat. I apply this underneath my
nail colour every time I paint my nails and I also love wearing it by its own
whenever I want to give my nails a break. As it has a nice light pink colour to
it, it gives my nails a lot of shine and makes them look really healthy. If you
have quite weak nails, I'd totally recommend that you give this product a go.
What are
your favourite nude nail polish colours?? Let me know in the comments and I'll
definitely be giving them a go…
