Finding Your Perfect Skincare Regime
7/25/2017
As you
know I love skincare and I also think it is really important to take care of
your skin; at the end, you only have one skin and you have to treat it well.
However, finding the perfect routine for your skin can be quite tricky.
You need
to know what kind of skin you have as different products work for different
skin types. I recommend you go to a dermatologist just so you get to know your
skin a bit better and you can find products that work well in your skin type.
In my case, I have dry-combination sensitive skin which means it need hydration
and can sometimes react badly to certain products.
Once you
know what your skin type is, you can start doing research in order to find the
products that work well for it. You can look online, whether it is on online
magazines, blogs or YouTube videos; read some magazines or even go to your
favourite beauty store and ask for some advice. Once you find products that are
meant to work for your skin I'd go to any beauty store and either ask for a
sample or buy the mini / travel size version of the products. That the product
is meant to be for your skin type doesn’t mean your skin would react nicely to
it, that's why I like to try the product first before buying the full size
version. I know stores like Kiehl’s and Clinique give samples if you ask for
them.
Once you
have found the products that work for you I'd recommend you stick to them. Your
skin can get used to the products and, if this happens, they won't work anymore
for our skin. In order to avoid that I'd recommend you use a different cleanser
or moisturizer for three or four days in a row every once in a while. I love
doing that with my cleanser; I use one from Apivita that I love and I use one
from Clinique every so often just so that the Apivita one continues to work for
my skin. Another thing I like doing is leaving my skin without moisturizer one
night per month; this makes the skin produce its own moisture and that will
help balance your skin.
Let me
know in the comments what your favourite skincare products are so that you
might help someone fins his own routine.
