Planning a Trip | My Tips
8/21/2017
I'll be
on my way to Lisbon (or already in Lisbon) by the time you are reading this. As
I have been planning this trip for the last few days I have decided to write
down my tips to do so and share them with you so you can you use then next time
you travel.
"PREPARE WELL"
Read a
lot about the place you are going and find what the most interesting /
important things to watch or do are. You can do that using a guide (which you
can buy at almost every book shop) or using the internet (travel blogs, webs,
etc.) which is what I like doing the most. It is also important to find out the
best way to get there and find a good place to stay.
"MAKE A LIST"
Once you
know which place are the most important ones to visit make a list with the ones
you don't want to miss. You don't really have to visit everything in a city so
writing down the things that are more appealing to you will make your trip much
more enjoyable.
"SCHEDULE YOUR DAYS (kind of)"
I don't
really like having a really clear schedule for everyday of my trip as I quite
like wandering around the city and discovering things as I go; however, and
just to make sure you visit everything you want to, create a little schedule
and decided which things you are going to watch or do everyday. To keep the
trip a bit more chilled put just tow or three things everyday if you can. A map
comes really handy when you do this as you can put things that are close to
each other in the same day.
"BRING A MAP WITH YOU"
Alright,
you could use your phone but there's something really unique about bringing a
map with you on a trip (it is also a good memory of the trip and something I
like collecting from every trip I go to). You can mark / highlight the places
on your list (from tip number two) so that it is a lot more visual.
"WANDER AROUND"
My fifth
and last tip is to just let go and wander around the city; it is the best way
to discover and enjoy a city. You'll be able to find some amazing and unique
places if you do so and also make the rip more personal and memorable. If you
don't really care about visiting touristic things, this is the best way to
discover a city.

our tips for planning a trip ? Let me know in the comments as well as some
recommendations for Lisbon.
