Turning Eighteen

If you are reading this on the day I post it, it is my birthday!! And I'm turning eighteen!! (So that means my birthday is August 15th)

Eighteen is one of the big numbers of life, one of the birthdays we give more importance to and the age most people get really excited for. I thought I would do a post telling you how I feel about turning eighteen and just rambling a little bit; also, If you'd like me to do an eighteen things I have learnt in eighteen years please let me know in the comments and I'll do it at the beginning of next month).

I don't think your age defines the person you are or the way you behave so, for that reason, I don't really think being eighteen is going to change the way I am or the things I do. I'm still excited about turning eighteen though, mainly because it is a big highlight in everybody's life and because it means I am now able to vote, drive and buy alcohol.

Within my eighteen years of life I have been able to experience amazing things and travelled to amazing places, which I am really grateful for. I have also met some incredible people that I know will be in my life for a long time and others than, having let a big mark on my life, have already left. I have discovered that I'm able to do many things If I believe in myself and work  hard and that you will always get something back when you work hard. I'm really passionate about my blog and I work really hard on it so I think it is a big example of my work philosophy (also, the blog is turning two years old in September 1st and I'm really excited about it).

I'm using turning eighteen as a new beginning; I'm going to try to leave behind all the problems I have had over the last few months and start my "adulthood" (and also university) in a much more positive way. I have people around that care for me and I need to sow them my love and affection a bit more and also be more thankful for all the amazing things that will happen to me.
