Natural Glam | Autumn Makeup
11/07/2017
Natural
and glam are two words that don't normally go together, especially when it
comes to makeup. However, I think there's no better way to describe this
particular makeup look. Natural, because it doesn’t require full coverage
foundation, winged eyeliner or false lashes; and glam because it still features
a bold(er)lip and a bit of eyeshadow.
This is a
look I have been wearing a lot recently (not for university, but a lot in the
weekends) and I really wanted to share it with you. It is also achieved using
some of my old time favourite makeup products.
Let's
start with the base. After moisturizing and priming my skin, I like to go with
a light to medium coverage foundation. The one I use varies depending on the
day and the finish I am looking for, but some of my favourites are the L'Oréal
Nude Magique Cushion Foundation or the Bourjois CC Cream. Then I go and apply
some concealer to my under eye are (I use the Mac Pro-Longwear one in NC15) and
to any redness or spot (for that I use the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in
Light). As always I apply a tiny bit of
powder and then I bring some colour back to my face with some bronzer and
blush. Lastly, but certainly not least important, I apply some highlighter; my
ultimate favourite is the Nars Hot Sand Highlighter.
Now
moving on to the eyes. I fill in my eyebrows as usual and then I go directly
onto eyeshadow. I have been loving the Becca Ombre Rouge Eyeshadow Palette as
it is perfect for this time of the year. I use shade 2 all over my lid and then
I apply shades 3 and 4 to my crease. Then to add a bit of shine to the look I
apply a tiny bit of the Mac Pigment in Tan to the center of the lid. Lastly, in
order to define the lash line a bit more I take a bit of shade 5 from the Becca
Palette on a pencil brush and I apply it close to my lashes. To finish of the
look, I give my lashes a good curl and apply some of the YSL Volume Effet Faux
Cils Mascara (one of my all time favourites).
Then to
finish of the look I'm going to use my current favourite lipstick. It is the
Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Golshan and it's the most perfect burgundy I have ever
seen. It look great on the lips and it's really comfortable to wear.
I hope
you like this makeup look and that you enjoyed the post!
