The Christmas Party Makeup Edit



With all of the Christmas parties approaching I thought it would be a good idea to put together an edit with my favourite makeup products for the season, those products that I reach for whenever I have a Christmas party or event to attend to.
Let’s start talking about the base products. As I have mentioned before I love natural face makeup and I don’t like things that look to heavy on the skin. However, If I am going to a party or something similar, I like my makeup to stay perfect the whole time. For that reason, the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation is my go-to for those kinds of events. I like to apply it on top of a dewy primer and use a sponge to apply it to get the most natural finish possible. A good setting spray also helps make your makeup stay perfect all night long Another thing I love is wearing a blinding highlight, especially if it is a nigh time event. The Hourglass Ambient Strobing Powders are my absolute favourites for that.


The eye look I go for varies a lot but there are a few products that never fail me when I use them. One of them is the Mac Pigment in Tan; it is perfect and can be used in a more natural look or an intense halo eye. Another product I love is the L’Oréal Perfect Slim Eye Liner, it is my absolute favourite, both in its black and brown version. It’s easy to apply, really pigmented and lasts a long time on the eyes. I tend to use eyeliner more often during the holidays as it makes your eye look a bit more glamorous and is a great help if you are applying false lashes (which I tend to do for the more important parties or events).



Something red never fails to give your makeup look a more Christmas appropriate image. I love wearing red lipsticks (however, I wouldn’t recommend it if you are going to be eating or drinking a lot) and my favourite one is Nars Golshan. If you don’t want to wear a bold lip you can also paint your nails red (Maki Me Happy by Essie is my new favourite) to wear the Christmas spirit with you.
