Spring Mood Board | Fashion & Beauty

We are fully into spring right now and I completely love it. Despite my allergies, spring is by far one of my favourite seasons: the weather is really nice, flowers are everywhere and styling outfits gets much easier as you don't need to layer as much as in winter. As I love Spring so much I've decided to write a post all about my inspirations, both fashion and beauty, for the next few months.

I tend to go for pretty casual outfits (for day to day) during spring time. My go to outfit has to be a pair of jeans and a white shirt; this combo is just so effortless and chic. I also love changing the outer piece with this look, sometimes I'd wear a blazer and other days I'd wear a biker jacket. I also love changing the shoes, wearing boots or wearing trainers makes a big difference. In general, I love wearing white tops with denim. That's why I like adding subtle touches of colour with my shoes; a pair of brown wedges will add height and colour to your looks and a fun pair of flats will make the look a bit more elegant and more comfortable.

I also love dresses for this time of the year; worn with a pair of boots and a leather jacket on top a nice, feminine dress can make getting dresses in the mornings really easy.

For hair, I like having my hair in messy waves the majority of the days. Soft (and messy) waves give my hair so much volume and movement and make it look full of life. I also like to go slightly lighter for the warmer months, that is why I'm going to re-do my balayage highlights in just a few weeks.

I also like having my hair up in really effortless but still chic hairstyles, such as a braided messy bun or a high ponytail; these hairstyles keep my hair out of my face and also keep me fresh all day long.

I love wearing rose-gold and rose toned eyeshadows during spring time; they give lots of light to your eyes and look great with many lip colours. Talking about lip colours, I love nude lipsticks all year round but during spring my pink toned nudes come to life like no others. A dewy / highlighted complexion is also a big favourite of mine all year round when it comes to makeup.

I found my makeup preferences have influence in the nail polishes I wear, pink toned nudes (such as Essie Spin the Bottle) or rose gold shimmery shades (like Essie Penny Talk or To Have and To Gold) are my go to at the moment.
