Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette
6/08/2017
New In & First Impressions
Becca is
now sold at Sephora Spain and, as I have been in love with this eye shadow
palette for a really long time, I thought I would give it a go. This post is
not going to be a typical review as I haven't had time to test it out and play
around with it; instead, I'm going to be doing a first impression kind of post
and let you know my first thoughts and opinion about the palette (let me know
in the comments if you'd like to see an updated review in a few weeks).
Becca is
a brand I haven't tried anything from. Buying their products from Spain was
pretty difficult but now that they are sold at Sephora I'll be trying more of
their stuff. I decided to go for the eyeshadow palette instead of a highlighter
mainly because I have too many highlighters and I think the palette is more
versatile. However, there's a little travel set I might be buying soon which
contains a mini powder and liquid highlighter...
Let's
start talking about the packaging of the palette. I really do like this
packaging as I think it is really sleek and compact; it also has a mirror which
makes it the perfect palette to travel with. However, the material on the top
of the palette gets fingerprints all over it really easily so you have t be
careful with it. The shades don’t have a name, which I don't mind but are
numbered at the bottom of the palette.
Let's now
talk about the actual eyeshadows. This palette contains 5 different nude / warm
toned eyeshadows; placed from lighter to darker on the palette. I personally
love these kinds of colours as I think they go really well with my skin tone,
my hair and my eyes. They are also pretty versatile as you can create lighter
or darker looks depending on the shades you use. The shades have a matte /
satin finish; they are not drying or powdery, something that can happen if you
use a matte eyeshadow.
I haven't
tested them out on the eyes yet but they swatch incredibly beautiful and feel
really creamy, so I have really high hopes for this palette.
(I have a
wedding on Saturday and this is the palette I'm going to be using so have a
look at my Twitter on Sunday morning for a little update there).
Have you
tried this palette?? What are your opinions? Let me know in the comments...
