How To Achieve a Flawless and Fresh Complexion

Flawless and fresh are words that don't normally go together when it comes to makeup. In my opinion, a fresh looking face makeup is much more flawless and pretty than a matte and full coverage makeup. I have found some products that really help me achieve the look I want and I'm going to be sharing them with you in today's post.

To achieve a flawless complexion with makeup is important that you work with a nice canvas. Make sure your skin is clean and moisturized before you start applying your makeup. I'd also recommend you exfoliate your skin at least once a week (you can make a homemade exfoliator with sugar and honey and it works wonderfully well) so that you remove all the death cells from your skin. You can also add a primer on top if your moisturizer if you want to; in my case I find my morning moisturizer (which is the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water) works as a primer as well.

If there's something I hate is foundations that are too heavy or look to cakey on my skin. Cushions foundations are great as they provide a light to medium coverage, totally buildable, and look fresh and natural. The Nude Magique Cushion Foundation from L'Oreal is one of my favourites and one I enjoy using a lot. As I have said cushion foundations don't have the highest coverage, nothing that concealer can't solve. Adding some concealer under your eyes and on any redness or spot will make your skin look more perfected but will still look more natural than adding a really heavy foundation; my new favourite concealer is the Mac ProLongwear Concealer. Powder can make your skin look less fresh so I'd recommend you skip powder (or just set the places you applied concealer to) if you can.

Once we have our base done, it's time to add a bit if colour back to the skin. For bronzer, my favourite has to be the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer; I love the undertones, formula and finish of this bronzer. If you prefer, you can also use a shimmery bronzer but in my case I prefer ones with a matte or satin finish. I like to apply my bronzer in a 3 shape so that it also adds like a subtle contour. For blush, my favourite ones (especially for summer time) are the Bourjois Round Pot Blushes; they have a huge range of shades all of which have a really nice sine to them. My two favourite shades are 33 and 34 and I apply them to the apples of my cheeks and upwards. Last but not least, it's time for highlighter. I like my highlighter to be natural yet glowy and pretty; to achieve that look I've just described the Nars Hot Sand Highlighter is perfect. I also find this highlighter works really well with my skin undertones. I love highlighting the high points of my face, especially my nose...

And these are my favourite products to achieve a flawless and fresh complexion. I hope this post was useful and that you try this look...
