Luxury Glow | Hourglass Ambient Metallic Strobe Palette
3/01/2018
Every so often
is nice to treat yourself to something you have been meaning to get or do for a
long time. I am a huge makeup lover and from time to time I like to treat
myself to some "luxury" or more special makeup products that I know
would work perfectly on my collection.
A couple of
weeks back (and as my parents were in Milan) I decided to treat myself and but
the Hourglass Ambient Metallic Strobe Highlighting Palette. This product is
quite expensive; however, I had seen so many people talk wonders about it that
I decided to make the splurge. Today I am going to be sahring with you my
honest opnion about this product.
Let me start
by saying this product is not for you if you do not like highlighters in your
makeup routine. I personally love them and I love giving my skin some sort of
extra glow with a bit of help from makeup.
I personally
think this palette (and highlgihts) are beautiful. They give you the most
naturally intense glow. They have no chunks of glitter (which I hate on
highlights) and so they provide your skin a glow from within.
The texture of
the powders themselves is really creamy and soft, which makes the powder apply
beautuflly onto the skin. I have not use them wet yet but I imagine they would
be extremely intense when applied that way.
As for the
shades, I find the all extremely beautiful separetely and even mixed together.
At the moment, the shades Absolute Strobe Light (light pink tone powder) and
Pure Strobe Light (champagne shade) are the ones thatw ork best for my skin, as
I'm extremly fair right now. The third (and darker) shade, called Lucent Strobe
Light, it's extremely beautiful as well and would be perfect for when I have a
bit of a tan; for now, I am just using it as an eyesadow.
The only down
side I find to this palette is that it can only suit fair to medium skin tones;
which is a shame considering the quakity of the porduct itself.
Overall I'd
say this palette is worth the money and I'd really recommedn checking it out if
you can.
