Favourite Products for Long-Wearing Makeup

With really long days at university I needed some products that would help my makeup stay in place for longer, without the need to use a full coverage matte foundation. I do really minimal makeup on my day to day but I still want it to get thought the day the best way possible. Today I am going to be talking about my favourite products to make my makeup last longer.

Let's start talking about skincare. Having a good base to put your makeup on is key to make your makeup last longer on the skin. I don't normally use a moisturizer in the morning, simply because I use a BB Cream and I feel it would be too much and would not last as much as it could. However, I do like to prep my skin and for that I use some sort of facial spray. At the moment I am using the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray and I absolutely adore it. I also really like Thermal Spring Water as it is really refreshing and soothing on the skin. On days when I do feel the need to moisturize in the morning, I love using the L’Oréal Aloe Water. This moisturizer is really affordable and it is one of my favourites; it feels a bit sticky and it really helps makeup stick to the skin.

Now let's talk about some makeup related products. A good primer can really prolong the wear of your makeup. At the moment, I am suing the Nyx Angel Veil Primer. I apply it mainly to the center of my skin and it smooths the skin while making my base products last longer. There are many amazing primers on the market at the moment and I'll link some of the ones I'd like to try bellow. The product I think can make the biggest difference is setting spray. I used to think they did nothing; however, I have not stopped using them since I first tried them. I have two that I use almost daily. One is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, it is a cult classic but for a very good reason. It prolongs the wear of my makeup like no other product I have ever tried. The other one is the Catrice Prime & Fine Fixing Spray is also amazing (and much more affordable) it really helps your makeup stay perfect for longer plus it can be used as a prepping spray as well.
