Five Things for March
2/27/2019
March starts
in just a couple of days and, seeing last month has been quite a challenging
one for me, I thought I'd round up five things I want to do or I am excited for
this March. I think it is really important to celebrate and appreciate the
small things in life; otherwise, you won't be able to appreciate the big
things. This post is also inspired by one of my favourite bloggers at the
moment, Kate la Vie (she has the most beautiful blog and I love her style of
posts).
March means
the start of Spring and I am extremely excited about that, even if it currently
feels like Spring all over Europe because the weather has been out of this
world.
01. My Sister's
BDay. My little sister's
birthday is in March and I always get so excited about it. There's something
really especial about celebrating others birthday that makes me feel
incredible. I am already planning some surprises for her as well as her
birthday cake, which he has been asking to get for almost 2 months now. It also
the birthdays of one of my closest friends; she is turning 20 and we are going
to celebrate.
02. New books. This past
month I have had really little free time and for that reason I have not read a
single book this month (and I hate it). However, the other day I bought two new
books, one of which I have already started and I am really excited to read at
east those two books during the month of March. I love reading and it is one of
the things I like to do the most whenever I want to relax. The books I bought
are All The Beautiful Girls by Elisabeth J. Church and The Last Watchman of Old
Cairo by Michael David Lucas.
03. Spring
Weather. As much as I
love winter fashion I do not like the winter weather at all. I am completely
fine with the cold (even though it isn't never extremely cold where I live) but
I cannot stand the fact that it gets dark at 5pm. I need the sunlight in order
to feel great and there's nothing worse than getting out of uni in the
afternoon and seeing it is completely dark outside. I also feel I'm much more proactive
when there's a bit more sunlight in the afternoon.
04. Easter is
close. The Easter
Holidays this year are quite late but they will be just a week apart when March
finishes. I am already planning things to do during Easter and I might even try
to go on a little trip in order to disconnect from university and have some fun
with my friends (I'll keep you updated if I go somewhere).
05. Keep up my
exercise game. I have been
exercising 4 to 5 times per week for the last two months and I feel great. I have
really committed to exercise and my body and mind are thanking me for it. I
feel stronger (specially in my arms and core) and I overall feel much more
energized (aside from those days when I am so tired nothing can really help).
Now the weather becomes a bit nicer I want to try and do some running again; I
was really into it a few years ago and I want to get back to it. I also want to
try some yoga or Pilates that will give me a strong body and mind.
These are the
five things I am looking forward to in the month of March. What are yours? Let
me know in the comments...
