Hoy voy a hacer una entrada algo diferente, voy a hablaros de la moda de los años 70 y os voy a enseñar como llevarla en la actualidad y algunas prendas inspiradas por esa época. Espero que os guste!!

Today I'm going to make a post a little bit different for what I normally do; I'm going to be talking about 70's style and showing you how can you wear it nowadays and some pieces that are perfectly inspired by this fashion movement. Hope you enjoy!!

70'S FASHION HISTORY

A principio de los años 70, el look "Hippie" era una gran tendencia. Pantalones sueltos, faldas largas, ponchos, estampados, colores brillantes. Cintas para el pelo, sombreros, gargantillas y otros accesorios eran también un básico en el armario de las más hippies. El ante empezó a ser muy popular y se mantuvo durante toda la década. 

Las mujeres más glamurosas llevan otra ropa, tales como americanas, mini-faldas, vestidos, pantalones cortos, camisas, etc. todo en colores suaves. Cuñas y tacones de plataforma, y también las perlas eran muy populares. Los jerséis empezaron a ser tan famosos como hoy en dia.

A mitad de los 70 la moda hizo un gran cambio. Las camisetas se hicieron muy famosas, combinadas con tejanos, cárdigans y ropa vintage. La moda parisina influencio mucho este tiempo. Algunos de mis zapatos preferidos salieron en esta época, los zapatos Mary-Jane y las botas altas. La ropa de deporte era muy popular así como los trajes, los cuales se combinaban con jerséis y botas.

A finales de esta década la moda se volvió más informal. Tops sin tirantes, jerséis, tops cortos, culotes, faldas, etc. La joyería dorada y las flores eran muy populares. Empezaron a introducirse tonos más fríos y oscuros. También podías ver a gente llevando bañadores de una sola pieza y ropa de inspiración disco. Ésta incluía faldas de lentejuelas, tops ajustados, shorts, etc. Mi preferida de los tres.

In the early 70's the "Hippie" look was the biggest trend ever. Loose pants, long skirts, ponchos, patterns, bright colors, etc. Headbands, floppy hats, chokers and many other things was also a staple on every hippie wardrobe. Suede also started to became really popular and it maintained all over this decade.

More glamorous women wear other types of clothes such as blazers, mini-skirts, dresses, hot pants, shirts, etc. all in very soft colours. Chunky high heels and wedgies were also very popular, and so were pearls. Sweaters also started to become the popular trend they are today.

Moving to the mid 1970's fashion made a huge change. T-shirts became really popular, sometimes paired with jeans, cardigans and vintage clothing. Parisian fashion really influenced the mid 70's. Some of my favourite’s types of shoes made its appearance those days, the Mary-Jane shoes and knee high boots.

Active wear was also really popular and also tailored clothes which they paired with sweaters and boots. 

On to the late 70's fashion became more casual. Strapless tops, sweaters, culottes, crop tops, skirts, etc. Gold jewerely was very popular and so were flowers. Colder and darker tones started to appear at this point. You could also see people wearing one-piece swimsuits and also disco inspired clothing. This included tube tops, sequined shirts, shorts, etc. This is my favourite time out of all three. 

70'S FASHION TODAY

Últimamente la ropa de inspiración 70's ha estado en todos los desfiles y tiendas. Esta tendencia es perfecta para otoño e invierno, pero personalmente creo que la puedes llevar durante todo el año. Además, puedes buscar en mercadillos o tiendas vintage ropa y accesorios de los 70, lo que es increíbles: llevar ropa vintage puede hacer tu conjunto único. 

Para hacer esta tendencia más llevadera, puedes llevar una mini de ante con una camiseta básica, unas cuñas con unos tejanos, etc. Hazlo de tu estilo.

Además muchas de las tendencias que eran populares en esa época lo siguen siendo hoy dia, así que no seria un look de inspiración vintage sino uno actual.

Lately 70's inspired clothes have been all over different runways and shops. This trend is perfect for autumn and winter, but I personally think you can wear it all year round. Also, you can look at vintage markets or online shops to look for 70's clothing and accessories, which I think it's really amazing: wearing vintage clothes can make your outfit very unique.

To make this trend more wearable, you can wear a suede mini-skirt with a basic t-shirt, some chunky heels with some jeans ... Just make it your own style and you would look amazing. 

Also some of the trends that were popular on that decade are still very popular nowadays so it doesn’t have to be 70's inspired at all; you can just wear 70's fashion moved onto today's fashion. If you live in a hotter climate maxi dresses are just perfect for you.
