It's been pretty cold recently and that means that you have to wear as many jumpers as possible to keep warm. Keep reading if you want to see my tips for when it is this cold…

As long as I love winter, having to dress up when it is so cold outside it's pretty difficult, especially if you are going somewhere covered afterwards. However, with time I've come across a few tips that make it a little bit easier to dress up in this weather.

The most important thing in my opinion is layering. It is better to wear three layers of clothing than just one and the boiling when you are inside. Layering also helps you keeping warm when you are outside and being able to be a bit more comfortable in the weather changes as the day goes on.
If it is really really cold, and you are going to be outside all day, try wearing tights under your jeans or trousers. These will keep your legs warm and cosy and again, it's a good way of layering.
Another thing I always do is wear a basic t-shirt really tight to my body. This may sound crazy but having something under your jumper really helps keeping you warm.

Coats are one of the most key pieces on any winter wardrobe. I'd recommend that, if you want to splurge a little bit on a piece of clothing, you invest in a good coat that will keep you really warm and that will last you a long time. Also, choose one that has neutral colours and that goes with any piece of clothing in your wardrobe.

Scarves are also an essential in any winter wardrobe. They keep you really warm and are amazing just to throw on when you feel a bit colder. Even though you can splurge on a really good scarf, you don't necessarily need to. Zara and Stradivarius have some great ones for a really good price…

Jumpers are also a big staple in any winter wardrobe. I have jumpers in many different styles, colours and thickness. They go with everything and, if they are a bit oversized, allow you to wear something underneath really easily. My favourite places to shop for jumpers are Zara, Brandy Melville, All Saints and Topshop.

Las but not least I wanted to mention boots. Boots are, in my opinion, the best winter shoe ever. They keep your feet warm and still look stylish. If you want a pair of boots that will keep your feet really, really warm, go for a pair of snow boots. There are many great designs on the market and they will make sure you don't get cold feet.

That's it for today. What are your winter clothing essentials??
