Fashion Inspiration for the Season Ahead
3/18/2019
Spring is just
two days apart and the weather has already been nice for a couple of weeks
(even if it’s all due to global warming). For that reason, I thought I would put
together a post talking you through the trends I love this for this Spring as
well as sharing with you some of the looks that have inspired my Spring
wardrobe.
This year I am
really making an effort to wear more colour. I feel like I always stick to the
same neutral shades and I am really pushing myself to be a bit riskier. There
are pastel colours in all stores at the moment and I really love them,
especially pastel yellow (I really want to get myself a jumper this shade).
Fluor or neon shades are also really trendy at the moment but they are just too
much for me; If I'm going to wear colour, I'm going to make it soft. Animal
print is also a huge trend still this season; that is why I have bought myself
a cute pair of leopard print ballet flats from Zara (that I already showed in
this post). I think they are perfect for adding a "trendy" touch to
more classic outfits and I feel they will become a wardrobe staple and will
stay in my wardrobe for a long time.
Midi skirts,
especially those with a satin fabric, are everywhere and I really need to add
one to my wardrobe. I think they are extremely versatile and can be worn in an
infinite number of ways: from t-shirts and Converse, to lace tops and high
heels. They are also the perfect skirt length for this time of the year. Jeans
are a staple all year long and this Spring I want to try different styles and
move away from the skinny and slim styles that I constantly wear. I really like
the look of flared jeans and I might give them a go this upcoming season. As the weather gets warmer, dresses become an
essential in my wardrobe and there are so many I'd like to incorporate into my
wardrobe for spring and summer. I have a feeling this summer I am going to be living
in dresses and I am quite excited about it.
Another piece
of clothing I love during this time of the year are blazers. I find them to be
the perfect jacket style for the kind of weather we get during the Spring time.
I have pastel pink one I adore from Mango (last year) and I have white tweed
one from Zara in my mind at the moment. As for accessories, I am thinking about
buying misled a new pair of white trainers; I am torn between a pair of high-top
Converse or the new Adidas Continental and I'd like you to comment bellow which
ones are your favourite. I also have a long list of sandals and mules I adore,
but I'll decide on those when the weather gets a bit hotter.
What are you
planning on wearing this Spring? Let me know in the comments…
